Jason Hsu
Innovation & Policy Advisor
Jason Hsu is Senior Research Fellow at The Ash Center for Democratic Governance and Innovation, Harvard Kennedy School and Visiting Research Fellow at Department of Politics and International Relations (DPIR) at University of Oxford.
Known as Crypto Congressman, Jason served as Legislator At-Large in Taiwan’s national parliament from 2016 to 2020. A selection of achievements during his tenure include setting up the Asia Blockchain Alliance (ABA), Taiwan Parliamentary Coalition for Blockchain (TPCB), founding the Indo-Pacific Cybersecurity Alliance and initiating the several key legislations such as the FinTech Regulatory Sandbox Act, Amendment on Anti-Money Laundering Law, Cybersecurity Management Act and Virtual Currency Guidelines (Security Token Offerings), Artificial Intelligence Development Act and the Digital Economy Principle Act.

Katherine is a Senior Advisor to the Social Alpha Foundation, The
Digital Economist and The Open Earth Foundation where she leads collaborations with the UNFCCC Global Innovation Hub. A former diplomat specializing in human security and climate, Katherine has been spearheading innovation at the nexus of technology, policy and sustainable development for 30 years. She has held leadership roles at Climate-KIC (Europe’s largest Climate Innovation Initiative) and served as CSO of the Green Digital Finance Alliance (Ant Financial –UNEP NGO) where she advised the UN Secretary General's Task Force on Digital Financing of the SDGs.
Katherine is a member of the EU Blockchain Observatory, the BIS Digital Green Bond Project Genesis, and the ESMA FISC Working Groups and is active contributor to digital

John Goedschalk, born in Paramaribo 1976 currently lives with his wife and two children in district Wanica. John attained his bachelor’s degree in economics and international relations from Beloit College in Wisconsin USA in 1998 and completed his MBA in Finance and marketing with distinction at the NIMBAS University in Utrecht the Netherlands in 2005. John has worked for a broad range of companies and held positions ranging from Corporate Finance consultant for Ernst & Young through to Sr. Business Controller for McDonald’s Netherlands and Global Business Controller for ABN AMRO in the Netherlands. During his career in the Netherlands, John also served as founder for a number of startup companies, the most well known of them being FreshCotton, which leads the online Amsterdam Streetwear sales retail segment. Upon returning to Surinam in 2008, John has held positions with some of the most well known companies such as Kersten and HEM Suriname before moving into the non-profit sector where he led the Climate Compatible Development Agency within the Cabinet of the President while leading the climate change negotiations for the country. John Currently holds the position of Executive Director for Conservation International Suriname, part of the International Non Government Organization Conservation international, which holds offices in 40 countries worldwide. John has led multiple bio-economy based projects with tribal and indigenous communities and has a strong focus on policy development regarding climate change and climate finance. John is passionate about reconciling economic growth, human development that respects and builds upon the natural capital Suriname and the world has to offer.

Arnold is the Head of Policy Research and Carbon Governance at Carbonbase where he focuses on bridging the gap between innovation and financing to create scalable and sustainable climate change solutions.
Arnold began his career at the Hong Kong Monetary Authority, one of the major central banks in Asia. During his tenure of 16 years, he rose to become Director of ESG and led the formulation of ESG policy and roadmap for Hong Kong’s US$500+ bn Exchange Fund. His experiences also included portfolio risk management, FX trading, and corporate developments.
Arnold received a BA and MA degree in Economics from the University of Southern California. His professional credentials include Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Financial Risk Manager (FRM), and Sustainability and Climate Risk (SCR)

David Dao
Regen Advisor
David Dao (he/him) is the founder of GainForest and an Artificial Intelligence (AI) researcher at ETH Zurich. GainForest is a non-profit grantee of Microsoft’s AI for Earth program, which leverages decentralized technology to prevent deforestation. In co-design with local communities in South America and Southeast Asia, GainForest develops a global cryptocurrency that rewards sustainable nature stewardship and has been featured by BBC Radio4, World Economic Forum, Microsoft, and the United Nations.
David is a Ph.D. candidate, leading the DS3Lab Climate + AI initiative at ETH Zurich in close collaboration with the World Wildlife Fund (WWF), MIT, and Restor to develop satellite-based monitoring algorithms to predict deforestation. Additionally, he leads the joint Kara Data Marketplace initiative with Stanford, UC Berkeley, and Oasis Labs. David's research won several best papers and academic grants.
Previously, he was an engineer in Silicon Valley and a research fellow at Berkeley AI Research (BAIR), Stanford University, and Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard. David is a Global Shaper at World Economic Forum, the Forest Lead of Climate Change AI, a Climate Leader at Climate Reality Project, a UN youth delegate for UN COP25 and COP26, and a mentor at Creative Destruction Lab Paris. In his spare time, David explores tropical rainforests in South America and the deep sea of Southeast Asia.

Cyrus Hodes is a Partner at FoundersX Ventures, a cross-stage Silicon Valley VC firm. He is a co-founder of Duckweed Bio, a Florida- based Agtech/Climate Tech startup. Cyrus co-founded and chaired the AI Initiative at The Future Society, a think tank incubated at Harvard Kennedy School.
